Just a short snippet as a “Thank You” to the younger generation of Fleetwood and district.  If there is to be a criticism, then it has to be that the school children ought to  be at the front of the audience and someone with a gift of eloquence should quickly tell them what the Day is all about.  How else is our history to be passed on?

Some remember 11th of the 11th.  We raised a glass and plenty to a forgotten era, nation and decent Governance.  Pamwe Chete.

And not to be left out are the great youngsters of Fleetwood Nautical College, with a bigger than normal thank you to their smart Standard Bearer.

Bailiffs, the message is spreading

wonkeydonkey speaks for many. But a word for the unwise. You may not see your loved one drift into debt, but if they do YOU need to act for them. If it hurts their feelings, tough, that YOU have take some responsibility for them, tough, well that is just tough again and again. It is tough love that saves lives,whether it is the miscreant drug abusing child, or the elderly formerly professorial parent. If you are not saving their lives then you most definitely are saving some innocents who gets killed because of your loved-ones actions.

My pet hate is sitting on the bus, going through leafy Lytham as watching all those ancient drivers who should not be behind the wheel of a car. Even as much as I dislike these irresponsible geriatrics, I would not set a bailiff on them for all the coffee in Colombia. They could end up dead by a cash machine. Your loved one that is.

WOW,,,20,000+ views to this post and 300+ comments….I think a lot of people have gleaned a lot of info as to how they have been fleeced by bailiffs, hopefully most of them will now know they have the right to stand up to bullying bailiffs and the deceit of their inflated fees. Burnley great dies. Jimmy Adamson

What a hero. No falling on the ground, rolling around in feigned agony, trying to get another dismissed the field, applauding the opposition off after a game, shaking hands with an opponents and meaning good will even after a bruising encounter. What had Jimmy to teach the overpaid prima donnas of today.

Manners, respect and not a little skill. Cheers Jimmy.

Clarets champion Jimmy Adamson who died on Tuesday

SUPPORTERS wishing to pay their final respects to one of Burnley’s finest ever players are invited to line the streets near Turf Moor ahead of his funeral.

Clarets legend Jimmy Adamson will be taken to his final resting place on Monday, following one final visit to the club that he led to Championship victory as captain in 1960.
